Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 2024
At inframe, we take privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect,
how we use it, and how we protect it. We are committed to transparency and giving you control over your
data.
1. Data We Collect
We collect the following types of data through our desktop application and web
dashboard:
- Presence Data: Whether an employee is detected at their workstation (present/away).
This is determined using local AI processing on the employee's device. No video or images from the webcam are ever transmitted or stored.
- Screenshots: Periodic screenshots of the employee's screen (configurable by the
employer). These are transmitted securely to the employer's dashboard.
- App Usage Data: Which applications are in the foreground and for how long. This
helps employers understand productivity patterns.
- Account Information: Email addresses and names for supervisor and employee
accounts.
2. How We Use Your Data
Your data is used solely for the following purposes:
- Employer Analytics: Providing real-time and historical insights to authorized
supervisors about employee presence and productivity.
- Service Improvement: Aggregated, anonymized data may be used to improve our
algorithms and service quality.
- Communication: Sending important service updates and notifications.
We never sell your data to third parties.
Your data belongs to you and your employer, not us.
3. Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
For Pro and Enterprise customers, our DLP feature automatically detects sensitive windows
(banking sites, password managers, personal email, etc.) and blurs
them
in screenshots before transmission. This ensures employee privacy while still providing work visibility.
4. Data Storage & Security
- Encryption: All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256).
- Cloud Storage: Data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure (Supabase/PostgreSQL)
with regular backups.
- Access Control: Only authorized supervisors within your company can view employee
data. Our support team does not access your data unless required for troubleshooting with your
explicit permission.
- Retention: Data retention periods depend on your plan (7 days for Free, 30 days for
Pro, customizable for Enterprise). Older data is automatically deleted.
5. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), you may have the following
rights:
- Access: Request a copy of your personal data.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your data (subject to legal and contractual
obligations).
- Portability: Request your data in a portable format.
- Objection: Object to certain types of data processing.
To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@inframe.io.
6. Cookies
Our web dashboard uses essential cookies for authentication and session management.
We do not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies.
7. Terms of Service
By using inframe, you agree to our Terms of Service. Key points include:
